2024 | Renew Your Mind
In 2024, we focused on the essential characteristics for people who follow Jesus under the theme of "Renew Your Mind." Our goal was to explore the qualities that we should be striving for as children of God. This theme calls upon speakers to delve into the idea of spiritual renewal, guiding our young people towards a richer understanding of how to embody these virtues in our daily lives. Drawing inspiration from passages such as Romans 12:2, the theme Renew Your Mind invites us to examine our thought patterns, actions, and attitudes through the lens of biblical principles.
2023 | Fan Into Flames
In 2023, we considered the first principles under the theme name of fan into flames taken from the 2 Timothy 1. We covered the main themes and ideas of the first principles from God, the promises, prophecy, all the way through to Jesus, baptism and our lives in the truth. These topics are fundamental to our faith and important for the young people gain an understanding of, in order to understand our God, our faith and where we fit into his plan and purpose.
2022 | Sermons from the Mount
In 2022, we considered the Sermon Jesus gave on the Mount of Olives recorded in Matthew 5-7. It is full of so much instruction, wisdom and insights that are a deep and valuable addition to the lives of all of his followers. We looked at each of the themes found in the sermon to build a succinct and full picture of Jesus' wisdom he expounded throughout that 3 chapter section. Jesus is the ultimate manifestation of God and the perfect example we try to emulate, so it follows that we can gain great value from studying the words that he himself spoke those many years before.
2021 | Wilderness Wonderings
In 2021, we considered the theme of the Wilderness Wonderings and spent our whole year around the children of Israel and their progression from Egypt, through the wilderness and into the promised land. The Theme was chosen as a nod to the lessons and thoughts we can take from the children of Israel in their wilderness wanderings through the lens of the analogous nature of that forty-plus year period.
